Starbucks Copycat Cinnamon Dolce Latte Ingredients
To be honest, most Starbucks drinks tend to contain too much sugar and ingredients that we prefer to avoid. This copycat Starbucks cinnamon dolce latte recipe is a much simpler recipe than the popular Starbucks version. It is made with just a few ingredients and nothing extra. You will need:
- 1/2 cup strong coffee, or 1-2 espresso shots
- 3/4 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (here)
- 3-4 Tbsp maple cinnamon syrup (here)
- optional toppings- whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon
You will also need a simple handheld milk frother. This is the one that we like, you can find it online here: milk frother.
How to Make a Maple Cinnamon Coffee Drink
First, start with a strong cup of coffee and your favorite coffee mug. You can brew coffee using a standard drip coffee maker, or the Aeropress. We love using our Aeropress to make hot coffee for all of our different coffee recipes. Find an Aeropress here: Aeropress, and more Aeropress coffee recipes here: Aeropress recipes.
Then add the vanilla extract to the hot coffee.
Next, add the maple cinnamon syrup. You can use your own homemade cinnamon syrup if you make it, otherwise, this sweet cinnamon syrup can be found online here: Maple cinnamon syrup. We love that this is a small business, made in Brooklyn. The syrup is a simple organic maple syrup infused with cinnamon.
Stir the coffee, syrup, and extract to combine.
How to Create a Foamy Milk for a Latte
First, pour the milk into a small saucepan or milk-frothing pitcher. The popular choice of milk for this copycat Starbucks recipe is oat milk because it is one of the more creamy milks. You can also use cashew milk, almond milk, or any other dairy milk or plant-based milks.
Warm the milk on the stove over medium-high heat, but do not boil. Then use the handheld frother to gently froth to create a foamy milk.
Carefully pour the frothed milk into the mug saving the light foam for the top.
This sweet cinnamon latte is made at a fraction of the cost of anything from a fancy coffee shop.
Top your copycat decadent Starbucks cinnamon dolce latte with whipped cream.
Dust the top with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, or cinnamon sticks.

FAQs and Variations
You are always able to adjust a recipe to your own personal preference. Doing this may yield different results.
Q . Can I add an additional sweetener to this recipe? A. If you prefer your latte sweeter you can add a bit more of the maple cinnamon syrup, or add a little brown sugar, or coconut sugar. If you do add sugar, make sure to stir it in the hot coffee until the sugar dissolves.
