Easy Cinnamon Latte Recipe Ingredients
To make this delicious latte you will only need a few simple ingredients:
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp coconut sugar
How to Make the Best Latte
First, pour the milk into a small saucepan or milk-frothing pitcher. You can use oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk. We are using cashew milk, but any of the plant-based milks or even whole milk should work fine.
Next, add the sugar and cinnamon in with the milk. For a little extra cinnamon flavor, you can even add a few cinnamon sticks to the milk.
Heat the milk, cinnamon, and sugar on the stove over medium heat.
Heat until hot, but not boiling, and the sugar is melted.
Then remove the hot milk from the heat and use a handheld milk frother to create a light and airy froth. If you added cinnamon sticks to the milk mixture make sure to remove them prior to frothing.
Cinnamon Latte with Coffee
Next, prepare a strong cup of coffee using whichever method you normally use to make your coffee. You can use a French press, Aeropress, or drip coffee maker. Pour the black coffee into your favorite mug.
Then pour the frothed warm milk into the mug with the coffee.
Save the froth for the top of the creamy latte.
*Note: If you have an espresso maker and prefer to make your cinnamon latte with espresso shots just know that the ratio for espresso to milk is 1/3 espresso to 2/3 milk. Whereas, with coffee, the ratio is 1 part strong coffee to 2 parts milk.
Delicious Cinnamon Spice Latte
You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or whipped cream to the top of your latte, or leave it as is and enjoy.
If you are a fan of Starbucks drinks, and special coffee drinks, know that you can make your own homemade lattes in the comfort of your own home at a fraction of the cost of those you would get at your favorite coffee shop.
The best part of making your own homemade version of your favorite coffee drink is that you have flexibility. You can swap out coconut sugar for brown sugar if you’d like, or use a different kind of milk. If you prefer your cinnamon latte a bit sweeter then you can add a bit of maple syrup or simple syrup to your own personal preference.
