Halloween Cocktail Drink

Before we start, you can dress this purple drink up with purple sugar on the rim of the glass by dipping the rims of the glass in a little simple syrup and then in a small plate with purple sugar. Keep in mind, that this is already a sweet cocktail. If you have a major sweet tooth then by all means dress it up. Otherwise, we are going to keep this purple people eater drink on the simple side to enjoy the drink without the full sugar spike of added purple sanding sugar.

How to Make a Purple Cocktail

First, measure with the cocktail jigger and pour the vodka into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Use your favorite plain vodka.

Next, add the blue curaçao. Blue curaçao has a sweet orange peel flavor, similar to Triple Sec with a subtle bitter finish.

Then add the sweet and sour mix. You can use homemade or storebought. Homemade is basically just a mix is lemon juice and simple syrup.

Add the grenadine to the shaker. Grenadine syrup is made from pomegranate and not cherry as many often assume.

Lastly, add the cranberry juice to the shaker. Another option is to use grape juice. We have yet to try this with grape juice so keep in mind that it may alter the color and taste if you make the swap.

Secure the top on the shaker and give it a good shake.
