Halloween Cocktail Drink
Before we start, you can dress this purple drink up with purple sugar on the rim of the glass by dipping the rims of the glass in a little simple syrup and then in a small plate with purple sugar. Keep in mind, that this is already a sweet cocktail. If you have a major sweet tooth then by all means dress it up. Otherwise, we are going to keep this purple people eater drink on the simple side to enjoy the drink without the full sugar spike of added purple sanding sugar.Â
How to Make a Purple Cocktail
First, measure with the cocktail jigger and pour the vodka into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Use your favorite plain vodka.

Next, add the blue curaçao. Blue curaçao has a sweet orange peel flavor, similar to Triple Sec with a subtle bitter finish.

Then add the sweet and sour mix. You can use homemade or storebought. Homemade is basically just a mix is lemon juice and simple syrup.Â

Add the grenadine to the shaker. Grenadine syrup is made from pomegranate and not cherry as many often assume.

Lastly, add the cranberry juice to the shaker. Another option is to use grape juice. We have yet to try this with grape juice so keep in mind that it may alter the color and taste if you make the swap.Â

Secure the top on the shaker and give it a good shake.Â

Use the bar strainer and pour the purple People Eater cocktail into an ice-filled rocks glass or highball glass.

Perfect Cocktail for the Halloween Season
Garnish with a lime wedge or lemon wheel and enjoy. This purple cocktail is known for being a Halloween drink due to its fun deep purple color. But you don’t need a special day or occasion to enjoy this drink.

The purple color of this drink comes mainly from the combination of blue curacao and grenadine. It’s the perfect addition to any Fall party.Â

Other options to dress up this cocktail are to add a gummy eyeball to the glass or use a little bit of dry ice for a smokey effect.Â
