This Irish Buck recipe is one of the easiest whiskey cocktails that you can make. An Irish Buck is also commonly referred to as an Irish Mule, or simply put a Jameson ginger and lime. Made with Jameson Irish whiskey, ginger ale, or ginger beer and served in a highball glass with a lime wheel.

Irish Buck Cocktail Recipe Ingredients

There are only three ingredients needed to make this refreshing cocktail. Of course, the main ingredient in this whiskey cocktail is the Jameson whiskey. You will need:

2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
6 oz ginger ale or ginger beer
lime – fresh lime juice and lime wedge

How to Make an Easy Irish Buck

First start with a tall glass filled with fresh ice. You can use a Collins glass, also known as a highball glass. You can find them online here: cocktail glass set. Measure out the Jameson using a cocktail jigger.

Then add the Jameson to the glass.

Next, fill the glass with ginger ale or ginger beer. The main difference between the two is that ginger beer is a bit spicier than ginger ale. If you have the time, you can also make your own ginger ale with fresh ginger, a little simple syrup, and club soda.

To finish the Irish buck recipe add a little citrus juice. You can squeeze a little lemon juice or fresh lime juice. Then garnish the glass with a lime wheel and enjoy.
