How to Make a Purple Rain Drink
First, fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Then add the vodka to the shaker.
Next, add the blue curacao to the shaker. The blue color of the curacao is going to help create the deep purple color of this stunning purple drink.
Then add the grenadine to the shaker. Here is where the red color comes in, because we all know that red and blue make the color purple.
Add the pineapple juice. Using pineapple juice will eliminate the need for simple syrup because pineapple juice is already so naturally sweet.
Lastly, add the lemon-lime soda to the shaker. Alternatively, you can opt for a sweet and sour mix if that is what you have on hand. Sweet and sour mix is simply a mix of sugar and lemon juice.
Secure the top on the cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
Use a bar strainer and strain the purple mixed drink into an ice filled tall glass. We are using highball glasses. You can use a martini glass if you’re feeling fancy.
