How to Make the Kiwi Starfruit Starbucks Refreshers Beverage

You may have noticed this new refresher drink on the Starbucks menu. We are going to make this super easy fruity drink that tastes just like the real thing. But we are actually going to make this Starbucks copycat recipe with better-quality ingredients.

The Starbucks version is made with natural flavors, citric acid, freeze-dried kiwi pieces, and most likely too much sugar. You can get the list of ingredients right on the Starbucks website if you’d like to check for yourself. Our homemade version of this star fruit kiwi refresher will be sweetened with honey and made with real fruit.

Here is your ingredient list for your Starbucks Kiwi Star Fruit Refresher:

  • 1/2 cup white grape juice
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 tsp of green tea extract (or green coffee extract)
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1/2 fresh kiwi
  • 1/2 fresh starfruit

When making your Kiwi refresher at home you want to make sure to use real kiwi pieces. This is essential to making the perfect drink. The green color of our drink comes from green tea extract. If you can’t find green tea extract you can also use green coffee bean extract. Of course, you should be able to find most of these ingredients at your local grocery store, but if not then you can grab them online here: green tea extract, and green coffee bean extract

Directions for Making a Copycat Starbucks Refresher

Slice a few slices of starfruit and chop the rest. Chop the kiwi, and set aside.

In a small bowl mix your green tea extract (or green coffee bean extract) and honey. If you use a small measuring cup or pouring pitcher it will be easier to pour your fun summer drink into a glass.

Next, add the water and grape juice to your bowl or pitcher. For this recipe, we are using a white grape juice concentrate.

Pour your drink into the glass and enjoy.

How Does a Kiwi Starfruit Refresher Taste

This tasty drink mixes a tropical combination of starfruit with kiwi flavor. The ripe star fruits and fresh kiwi add such a vibrant touch to your drink. If you decide that you do not want the fruit pieces in your drink you could use a fine mesh strainer, but I can’t promise that it will be as good if you remove the best part.
