This recipe has a few parts. First, you need to make the spicy honey syrup. This is an ingredient in itself for the spiced honey old fashioned recipe. To make the honey simple syrup you will need:

- ½ Cup water
- 1-inch knob of fresh ginger, sliced
- 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 star anise
- 5-7 whole cloves

- 1 Cup orange juice
- 1 Cup apple cider or juice
- 3 dashes of orange bitters
- ⅓ Cup spiced honey simple syrup
- ice
Optional for garnish:

First, prepare the syrup. In a small pot, over low to medium heat combine equal parts honey with equal parts water. Add in the remaining spicy honey ingredients.
