How to Make the Best Amaretto Coffee Recipe

Hot Amaretto Coffee Ingredients 

This classic cocktail is made with just two ingredients plus optional toppings:

• 1 1/2 oz of Amaretto liqueur
• 8 oz hot black coffee
• ​optional – whipped cream & cinnamon

Amaretto Liqueur 

The main ingredient in an amaretto coffee is the amaretto liqueur. Disaronno is an Italian liqueur known for its smooth almond flavor. Though this almond-flavored liqueur has a flavor profile based on sweet almonds it doesn’t contain any almonds. It is the perfect base for many cocktail recipes, especially this almond amaretto coffee recipe.  A 750ml bottle of amaretto will typically cost around $30. 

How to Make a Cafe Amaretto 

First, use the cocktail jigger to measure the amaretto. If you don’t have a jigger, you can use a shot of amaretto liqueur to keep it easy. 

Then pour the amaretto into a large coffee mug.

Next, add the hot strong coffee to the mug. Make sure to use fresh coffee. 

Top the boozy coffee with store-bought or homemade whipped cream.

Then dust the top of the whipped cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
