This easy 3 ingredient peanut butter coffee recipe can be made in a few different ways. We are sharing both the hot version and the iced version for peanut butter coffee lovers who enjoy both a hot and cold brew.
Ingredients to Make Iced Peanut Butter Coffee
You will need:
- 2 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk of choice
- 8 oz cup of coffee
You will also need a high-speed blender, food processor, or magic bullet personal blender.
Start with Great Coffee
First, start with an 8oz cup of brewed coffee. You can use decaffeinated coffee or regular. We are using Aeropress to make a cup of hot coffee. The Aeropress is similar to a French press and you can see how it works to make amazing coffee, along with many other coffee recipes here: Aeropress. You can use your standard drip coffee maker, or whatever method you typically use to make your favorite coffee.
How to Make an Easy Peanut Butter Cold Coffee
To make this iced coffee peanut butter recipe we are using a simple Magic Bullet since it’s small and perfect for a single-serve cup of coffee.
Pour the coffee into the magic bullet cup or into your blender and add the natural peanut butter.
Secure the container and place it onto the Magic Bullet.
Blend for 30 seconds or until smooth and combined.
Pour the coffee and peanut butter mixture into an ice-filled serving glass. If you have coffee ice cubes that is even better.
Next, add the milk to the iced peanut butter coffee.
This cold peanut butter coffee drink doesn’t need any sugar but if you’d like to sweeten it a bit feel free to add a drizzle of maple syrup.
This tastes just like a peanut butter cold brew coffee. Enjoy!
How to Make a Hot Peanut Butter Coffee
Now that we covered the iced version we will move onto the hot. The hot version of this tasty drink is just as easy to make. It required the same simple ingredients, minus the ice.
Pour the hot brewed coffee into the magic bullet cup or your blender.
Next, add the smooth peanut butter.
Blend just like before.
Pour the hot peanut butter coffee into your favorite coffee mug.
Go ahead and add your milk of choice.
The nutty flavor of the peanut butter gives just the right amount of extra flavor to a regular coffee drink. This is a simple and tasty way to add a delicious taste to hot drinks.
