How to Make an Irish Redhead Cocktail
First, start with a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes.
Measure out the Jameson Irish whiskey using a cocktail jigger.
Pour the Jameson whiskey into the shaker.
Next, measure the grenadine with the jigger. Grenadine syrup is made from pomegranate and not cherry as many often assume, and the grenadine is where this mixed drink gets its red color from.
Add the grenadine to the shaker.
Next, juice a lemon and lime wedge and add the juice to the shaker.
Pop the top on the cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
Then use a bar strainer, and strain the simple drink into a rocks glass, or Collins glass.
Top the drink with Sprite, 7Up, ginger beer, or a good quality ginger ale.
Garnish with a lemon slice, lime slice, or cherry, and enjoy.
